How it works
Timings of the scheduled visits start at your preferred time, even when it is emergency-ad hoc. Your carer arrives as agreed to support with the previously agreed tasks, such as washing and dressing, taking medication, cooking, a bit of tidying, time to talk, etc. Before leaving, they log what happened so both the person getting the support and their family can see what and how things were done. Visits start from an hour to several hours, once a day or several times, and they change as your needs change.
Who it suits
This suits someone who manages some or most of the day but needs a hand at fixed points such as getting up and dressed, taking medication on time, having a hot meal, taking a shower safely, etc - you need it, we will do it. It suits families who live too far away to call in daily. It also works well for catching back up after a fall or a short hospital stay, when confidence needs rebuilding more than anything else.
Questions about visiting care
How short can a visit be?
From 60 minutes. That is enough for a medication prompt, a welfare check, or help getting up and dressed. If one hour turns out not to be enough, we offer a review rather than quietly running over, so we can lengthen the visit or add a second one.
Can visit times change week to week?
Yes. Your care plan is a starting point, not a contract with the clock. If a hospital appointment moves things, or a routine settles differently than expected, tell us, and we will adjust. We ask for as much notice as you can give, so the same carers stay on your rota.
Will I always have the same carer?
You will have a small, consistent team rather than one person, so holidays and sick days do not mean a stranger at the door. In practice most clients see the same two or three faces, and everyone on your team is briefed on your routine before their first visit.
